System options

System options affect the way that Wise operates. Changes to this section can impact system functionality. Contact OCLC for assistance.

System Options

System options inform how Wise operates and enable certain modules and functions.   

 Caution: Changes to System options will impact system functionality. Contact OCLC Support for assistance. 

To update system options:

  1. In Wise configuration manager, go to systemWise > systemWise > System options.
  2. Click Detail next to the option you want to enable or disable. A System options window opens.
  3. Select Change.
    • Select Yes to enable the system option.
    • Select No to disable the system option.
  4. Click OK to save changes.

 Note: Changes to system options usually take 24 hours to take effect.

If this option is turned ON, the notification 'Internet registration' and the 'Block by internet registration' will NOT be automatically removed. This option can be used when the library sends the passes to the new customers. If the number occurs twice and is longer than 9 characters, then a message ("PASS COMES DOUBLE") is included for all actors involved in the actor_log, in the client this can be seen on tab 4 Other.
