Learn how to configure and enable system-wide settings within the Wise configuration manager.
  • System functions
    The system functions section can be used to copy certain tables from one branch to another. Contact OCLC for assistance.
  • System and terminal licenses
    System and terminal licenses are used to enable and disable certain modules in Wise. Licenses can only be edited by OCLC staff. Contact OCLC for assistance.
  • System options
    System options affect the way that Wise operates. Changes to this section can impact system functionality. Contact OCLC for assistance.
  • System settings
    Settings defined at the system level are updated within System settings.
  • Upload files
    Files can be uploaded to Wise from within the Wise configuration manager at Upload files.
  • Trusted domain names
    The Trusted domain names table is currently not in use in US libraries.
  • Clean SysCache
    The Wise system cache can be emptied within the Wise configuration manager at Clean SysCache. Clearing the system cache can help ensure changes in settings are applied.
  • External systems
    System settings for Overdrive accounts are defined by OCLC within External systems. Contact OCLC for assistance editing this area.
  • Lockout settings
    Learn how to use lockout settings to control the number of times that a staff or customer account has a failed login attempt before the account is blocked.
