Overview of hold requests

Generate a report of hold requests using specifications provided.

The Overview of hold requests provides reports about hold requests per the specifications you provide.

  1. Go to Hold requests > Overviews > Overview of hold requests. The Overview of hold requests screen opens.
  2. Provide overview information. Required fields are marked with an (*) asterisk. 
    Field Description
    Branch(es)* Choose one or more branch for which to view holds requests. Use ctrl+click to select multiple branches. By default, the branch that is signed in is provided.
    Status Select one or more hold request status. Use ctrl+click to select multiple statuses.
    Date of hold request* up to and including Enter the date range when hold requests were placed. Use the dd-mm-yyyy format or select a date by clicking the calendar icon.
    Source

    Select the source of the hold request. You cannot select multiple sources. Leave this field blank to create a report will all sources.

    Hold sources are populated from the (TABXRB) Source holds / ILL table in the Wise configuration manager.

    Sorting*

    Select the sorting order for the overview. The overview can be sorted by:

    • T - Title
    • N - Borrower Number
    • L - Borrower Name
    • R - Hold Request Date
  3. Click Create report. The report is generated in a new browser window.

The report displays an overview of hold requests by your selected sorting order. The following details are included in the report:

  • Hold  - the hold request ID
  • Pause begin date - the date the request was put on hold (if applicable)
  • Hold resume date - the date the request resumed from being on hold (if applicable)
  • Date - the date the request was placed by the customer
  • Message - if a message has been sent to the customer, the date will display here
  • Stop - the location where the item will be picked up
  • Source - where the hold was placed
  • Status - the status of the hold request
  • Days - the number of days that the item has been on the hold request shelf
