Project and title collections
Project collections are permanent collections that can be scheduled. Title collections do not have any items linked and are used only for planning.
Create a title or project collection
- Go to Items > Changing collections. The Collection window opens.
- Click New collection. The New collection for... window opens.
- Enter information in the fields:
- Select a subject from the Subject drop-down list.
- (Optional) Enter a serial number. If no serial number is entered, the system will automatically generate one.
- Select Project collection or Title collection from the Type drop-down list.
- Click OK. The collection is created with the status On-location.
- Right-click on the collection and select Details of this collection. The Collection details screen appears.
- Provide collection details:

- Branch
- Customer (school or institution)
Not required. By default, this is the owner of the collection. Status The status determines what can happen to the collection:
- In - collection was just created
- Checked out - the collection is on loan
- History
- Planned
- Temporary
- Structure

Size Target size of the collection. Enter the number of items the collection should/will contain. Note: Enter the number of items here that you are planning to include in this collection.
We recommend that you enter 10% less than the actual number so that planning is not disrupted if not all items are returned.
type Select the type of collection. For more information, see Target group. Not required. Buffer Number of days padding between planning lines in the module. If left blank, the default is 3 days. Not relevant to this collection type. Can be planned Whether or not the collection can be planned using the planning module Important Can this collection be planned in the planning module?

Show level The level at which the collection is managed (branch, institution or system). The level at which the collection is managed (branch, institution or system). Enforce return date Indicate whether or not the return date will be enforced according to library policy. This is only important if the collection is being used by a relocation customer.
- Yes - items that exceed the due date are lendable/renewable
- No - Customers can borrow/renew items beyond the due date
In temporary shelf It is possible to assign a temporary shelf to a collection. This temporary shelf is used by each receiving branch as soon as the items are scanned upon arrival. - You can now add items to your Project collection.
Note: You do not need to add items to a Title collection.
