Alert list (customers)

Learn to generate an overview providing a list of titles for which the stated minimum number of hold requests is open per branch, with data on the customers who placed the holds.

The Alert list (customers) overview provides a list of titles for which the stated minimum number of hold requests is open per branch, provided with data on the customers who placed the holds.

Based on this overview, you can determine whether additional items should be ordered or if the customer must be notified that their hold request cannot be filled for now.

  1. Go to Hold requests > Overviews > Alert list (customers). The Alert list (customers) screen opens.
  2. Provide overview information. Required fields are marked with an (*) asterisk. 
    Field Description
    Institution*

    Choose the institution for which to view holds requests. Leave this section blank to select all institutions.

    When selecting an institution and Only totals for each branch of the selected institution, only hold requests are printed that meet the minimum number of hold requests.

    Location(s) (empty=all) Choose the branch(es) for which to view holds requests. Use ctrl+click to select multiple branches. If left blank, all branches are selected.
    Minimum number of hold requests* Provide the minimum number of hold requests for a specified title code in a branch.
    Sorting*

    Select the sorting order for the overview. The overview can be sorted by:

    • L - Customer Name
    • N - Customer Number
    • R - Hold Request Date
    • T - Title
  3. Click Create report. The report is generated in a new browser window.

The report displays an overview of hold requests by your selected sorting order. In addition to the overview per branch, the data for each title are displayed in a total overview for each selected branch. The following details are included in the report:

  • Title - title code and title
  • Hold - request ID
  • Barcode - customer barcode
  • Customer - name of the customer
  • Date - date the hold was requested

The number of items displayed in the total overview is the sum of the items of the selected separate branches for which the number of hold requests >= n.

Items that have no hold requests or fewer than the entered number are not counted.
