Notifications tab
The fifth tab on the Customer administration screen displays notices to and about the customer.
Notifications (public)
Notifications appear when the customer record is accessed through Customer administration or circulation functions. Four messages with a maximum of 60 characters can be created for each customer. If a message is included in the Notices section, it will appear on the screen any time the customer account is accessed. These messages are visible only to library staff.
Caution: These notifications can be viewed by all library staff with access to customer administration.
Notifications can be added and edited from several locations:
- Check in > Customer > Notification
- Customer administration > Notifications
- Branch management > Customer account > Customer administration
If there are notices on a customer's account, a note will display below the customer name and address box in the top of the customer administration screen. Once the notice is removed, this note disappears.
Notices can be manually typed into the text boxes, or a Predefined message can be inserted.

Library Organizations or LOs (ex: a consortium), these notifications (public) and comments (private) are only visible within the LO they were added.
