Searchlight and filter
Searchlight
The searchlight button is found at the top of the catalog screen. The searchlight enables you to easily see which titles meet selected criteria. When the searchlight button is clicked the Searchlight settings window opens. On this screen, you can select your searchlight settings. The filters selected in Searchlight settings apply to title properties.
The following criteria can be set for the searchlight:
Criteria | Description |
---|---|
Searchlight on this branch | Check this box to highlight titles with available holdings at your branch. When this box is checked, the Only show titles of this branch box is also automatically checked. |
Only show titles of this branch | Check this box to highlight titles with available holdings from the branch selected in the Branch field. When this box is checked only items at the selected branch appear in the search results. If this box is unchecked, the search results will include items at other branches, but those lines appear in gray text. |

When turned on, the searchlight button turns green, when it is turned off, it is gray. To turn off the searchlight, click the Searchlight button again and select Searchlight off.
