My Account overview
My Account options
A variety of options are visible in a customer's My Account. Which ones are visible depends on a number of settings and/or conditions including:
- the My Account configuration associated with the library subscription
- which system options are active
- which licenses a library uses
The table below shows an overview of all possible menu options.
Menu option | Description |

Create Community Profile | Create a Community profile, or open the profile. For more information, see Wise Community profile. |
My account details | This is where Login details, Name and address details, Membership and preferences, and other settings are displayed. |
Inbox | The inbox displays different types of messages, including overdue messages or hold messages. |
Notification preferences | The message types used by the library are shown here. Customers may change their preferences for these. For more information, see Notification preferences. |
Relationships | Customers can set up authorizations for themselves or for others (e.g. family members). An authorization allows an authorized customer to renew or pay for others without having to log in each time. |
My wish list | Titles the customer would like to borrow can be placed on a Wish List. For more information, see My wish list. |
Report loss of library card |
Provides the option to block a missing card immediately to prevent misuse. This is offered if the My Account configuration allows it. If set, an e-mail confirmation can be sent within five minutes. |
My requests | Customers can use this form to make purchase requests. |
Financial details | Using this overview the customer can view their outstanding fines and fees and pay them. For more information, see Fines and fees in My Account. |
Recent payments | Customers can use the overview to the different types of financial items that have been paid recently. Fines are stored for one year, while membership fee items are stored for 1.5 years. |
Online payments | Overview of online payments. For more information, see Fines and fees in My Account. |
My checkouts | Provides an overview of materials currently checked out. Customers are able to print a list of checked out items. |
My holds | View all current holds, along with their status, and pause or resume holds. For more information, see Pause or resume a hold. |
My wish list | Allows customers to create a list of titles that they want to borrow in the future. See My wish list. |
Previous checkouts |
Shows an overview of previously borrowed titles. This overview goes back a maximum of five years. Any titles currently checked out are also listed. The following options are available as well:
The menu option is only visible when the customer opts in to showing their loan history via My account details. |
Personal recommendations |
Not currently available. A reading recommendation is given based on what the client has borrowed. |
Contact the library | Allows customers to send an email to the library. This email will be delivered to the email address of that library, as entered in the Manager. |
My tickets |
Overview of purchased tickets with the ability to (re)download the tickets. |
Change membership |
This is offered if the My Account configuration allows it. Shows the current membership and alternative membership. Customer can check desired (new) membership. Membership starts when current membership expires. If another membership is needed immediately the customer must contact the library since a refund of membership fees may be required. The change will be processed immediately. One month before the current membership expires, billing starts. Until then, a choice can still be changed again. |
Membership cancellation |
This is offered if the My Account configuration allows it. The duration of membership is shown and, if necessary, a reason for cancellation can be chosen. After the membership period ends, the cancellation can take effect. Since the membership period is still running, a customer can cancel even if they still has materials at home at that time. |
