Search the Wise Console catalog

Learn how to search the Wise Console catalog.

 Note:  In order to use the catalog in the Wise Console, the system option CATSRCH must be enabled.

Perform a keyword search

To perform a search within the Wise console catalog: 

  1. Navigate to Menu > Catalog. The Catalog screen appears
  2. Enter a search term in the Term(s) text field.
  3. Click Search.

Catalog search and branch filter

Once you have performed a search you can use the branch highlight feature to filter results based on location and branch.

  1.  To filter the results, select a or branches from the Branch highlight drop-down menu.
  2. Select a check box to:
    • Highlight titles at the branch - titles that are held by the branch that the staff member is logged into will be highlighted in light blue.
    • Only show titles at this branch - titles that are not held by the branch that the staff member is logged into will be removed from the search results.
  3. Use Reset or click X at the top of the screen to remove selected filters.

Additional filters

Catalog search results can be further filtered by selecting an available catalog from the left panel or by selecting one or more of the I only want filters. Available filters include:

  • Material
  • Author
  • Audience
  • Character
  • Subject
  • Genre
  • Series
  • Language
  • Publication year
  • Lexile

Wise Record Manager

If access to Record Manager has been configured, a link to your library's Record Manager environment will also display at the top right of the search screen. Click this link to search for a title within the Record Manager environment. For more information on configuring access, see Navigate to Record Manager.
