Configure ticketing messages

Learn how to configure customer notifications related to ticketing.

It is possible to configure an automatic message to be sent to the customer when purchasing tickets online. The messages can be set up at the system level or branch level.

Configure online ticket reservation or purchase messages

A message can be configured to be sent after a ticket is reserved or purchased by a customer online. A PDF of the ticket is sent along with the body of the message. Notification type PKK must be configured to send the email message to the customer. 

System table

Automatic messages for ticket sales can be configured at systemWise > Messages > Messages

To configure ticketing notifications: 

  1. Navigate to systemWise > Messages > Messages. 
  2. Select the System table tab. 
  3. From the drop-down menu, select Public notifications
  4. Click on one of the lines in the table. Information about the message appears. 
  5. Click New to enter a new notification. 
  6. Define the following information: 
    Field Details
    Branch Enter the branch number for which the notification is defined. (0000 should be entered if it will apply to the entire system)
    Class Choose Public notifications
    Function Enter KK
    Layout Select Email from the drop-down menu.
    Text variant Branch is automatically selected.
    Text group Enter 01
    WYSIWYG No is automatically selected.
    Style Enter the file name of the style sheet. 

     Note: The location of style sheets is home/bxmas/messages. 

    Prefix The first part of the name of the output file. 
    Formatting Objects Processor type Select Email from the drop-down menu.
    Follow-up run

    Select Yes from the drop-down menu.

    Device Enter localhost.
    Collect Select No from the drop-down menu.
    Branch group Not used for PKK messages. 
    BCC Do not select. 
    Insert notification Select No from the drop-down menu.
  7. Click OK.

Texts

PKK messages defined in the System table must also be added to the Texts tab. If no texts are defined, the default style sheet will be used. To define texts:

  1. Navigate to systemWise > Messages > Messages
  2. Select the Texts tab. 
  3. From the drop-down menu, select Public Notifications
  4. Click on an existing line and click New to define a new notification.
  5. Define the following fields: 
    Field Details
    Branch/Institution Enter the branch number for which the text is defined. (0000 should be entered if it will apply to the entire system)
    Class Choose Public Notifications.
    Function Enter KK.
    format Select Email from the drop-down menu.
    Group Enter 01.
    Number

    Enter the text line number. 

    • 1 - Subject
    • 2 - Salutation
    • 3 - Paragraph 1 
    • 4 - Paragraph 2
    WYSIWYG Not in use. 
    Language Select the language of the notification. 
    Text Enter the corresponding text. 
  6. Click OK

  7. Repeat steps 1-6 for each text line. 

Configure a flash message for all ticket holders

A message can be configured to send to all customers who have a ticket for a specific event. This can be useful in the case of event updates or cancellations. Messages can be sent through the Wise client using the Flash message option. 

Notification type PKM must be configured to use flash messages. 

System table

Flash messages can be configured at systemWise > Messages > Messages

To configure the notification: 

  1. Navigate to systemWise > Messages > Messages. 
  2. Select the System table tab. 
  3. From the drop-down menu, select Public notifications
  4. Click on one of the lines in the table. Information about the message appears. 
  5. Click New to enter a new notification. 
  6. Define the following information: 
    Field Details
    Branch Enter the branch number for which the notification is defined. (0000 should be entered if it will apply to the entire system)
    Class Choose Public notifications
    Function Enter KM
    Layout

    Select Email or Text message from the drop-down menu. 

     Note: A separate system table line must be configured for each sending method. 

    Text variant Branch is automatically selected.
    Text group Enter 01
    WYSIWYG No is automatically selected.
    Style Enter the file name of the style sheet. 

     Note: The location of style sheets is home/bxmas/messages.

Texts
