(TABMDC) Media type conversion

​Use this table to configure each media type so that when the SCAT is generated, it is not handled as the actual media type but as a different media type.

This enables you to limit the number of media types for which an entry can be made in the SCAT conversion table and not processed.

To create or edit a media type conversion:

1. In the Wise configuration manager, go to OCLC Wise > Titles and SCAT management > SCAT management > (TABMDC) Media type conversion.
2. Click New at the top of the page, or to edit an existing conversion, click Detail. The Media type conversion window opens.
3. Provide the information about the media type conversion. To change existing values, click Change.

   Field name	Description
   Type	Automatically filled by the system (MDC)
   Media type	Select the media type
   Description	Description of the conversion (unrestricted)
   Process as a media type	Select the media type that this media type will be processed as
   Search by media type	Not for use in US libraries.

4. Click OK to save.
