Fee revenue per year (Paid)

Generate a report of fee revenue per year in the Wise staff client.

The Fee revenue per year (Paid) overview allows you to determine the amount of membership fees that have been paid in a specified year, and how much must be allocated to the period after the specified fiscal year.

This function is only important for libraries who want to create a balance sheet item called "fees received in advance" at the end of a fiscal year.

To create this overview:

  1. Go to Financial > Overviews > Fee revenue per year (paid). The Fee revenues by year screen opens.
  2. Provide overview information. Required fields are marked with an (*) asterisk.
    Field Description
Institution Choose the institution to display in the report. Only select when a specific institution must be displayed. If left blank, the report will display all institutions in the Financial organization.
Ledger year (yy)* Year for which the overview should run.
  3. Click Create report. The report is generated in your web browser window.

View the report

The Fee revenue per year (Paid) overview displays all paid membership fee items that are accounted for in the entered ledger year. The overview will display which part of the membership fee period must be allocated to the year after the specified financial year.

The part that must be apportioned to the given ledger year and which portion must be apportioned to the next year will be calculated for each financial item. Whole months will always be assumed for the division. Consequently, a correction must be made in the ledger for the next year's total.
