Learn how to generate a library-at-home report, change delivery carriers, and pause or discontinue library-at-home services for customers in the Wise Client.

Library-at-home report

The Library-at-home report displays the current data and settings for each library-at-home customer. This report also provides a recommendation list of potential materials to lend to each customer. Materials from the list can be gathered, checked out to the customer and then delivered to the customer's home. For more information, see Library-at-home service. This report can only be run for one library-at-home delivery person (carrier) at a time, so it must be run for each individual delivery person.

To create a Library-at-home report:

  1. Go to Customers > Overviews > Library-at-home report. A selection window appears.
  2. Select preferences for the overview. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

Collect and deliver materials

Based on the Library-at-home report, the materials are compiled and loaned to the customer. The delivery person retrieves borrowed materials and delivers new materials.

Insufficient wish list or profiles

The delivery person must keep an eye on the materials list to make sure that the requests are sufficiently supplied. When there are not enough requests to provide a delivery, the delivery person can take the following steps:

  • Add profile memberships
  • Add to wish list via the web catalog

For more information, see Library-at-home requests.

Change delivery carrier

When a volunteer or library staff member is no longer a library-at-home carrier, the role has to be removed. Before removing the role, the customer must agree to being assigned a new delivery person.

  1. Create a new delivery person.
  2. Assign the customers of that delivery person to the new delivery person. To see all customers assigned to the deliverer, sign into the delivery person's account and perform a customer search with the Library-at-home box checked.
  3. Remove the delivery role from the original delivery person.
    1. Search for the delivery person and open their record.
    2. Open the Roles tab.
    3. Right-click on the Library-at-home role and select End role.
