Library-at-home delivery staff

Learn how to create and access staff roles for library-at-home services in the Wise staff client.

Add the library-at-home role:

Library-at-home delivery staff or volunteers have the system role of BAH manager.

To grant library-at-home delivery status to an individual:

  1. In the staff client, search for the account you want to add the role for in customer administration.
  2. Double-click on the customer to select and open their account.
  3. Open the Roles tab.
  4. Right-click in the Roles table and select New role. A roles window opens.
  5. Select BAHBEH1 - Library at home from the drop-down list.
  6. Click OK to add the role. The role is added to the account and displays in the information section of the customer record.

To end remove library-at-home abilities from an account, follow steps 1-3 above. Right-click on the BAHBEH1 line and select Finish role. The user no longer has library-at-home delivery privileges and an End date displays in the table.

Sign in as library-at-home staff

Once the library-at-home staff role has been assigned to the staff account, staff can use their username or library card number to sign into the staff client.

After logging in, the delivery person can perform the following actions:

  • Access customer details of the library-at-home customers assigned to them
  • Update customer data and change profiles
  • Set up other customers as library-at-home customers and assigning a delivery person to their account
  • Supply materials to the library-at-home customers (available holds and/or recommendations from the list)
  • Place hold hold requests for library-at-home customers

Look up assigned customers

To find the customers assigned to a delivery person's account:

  1. In the staff client, go to Customers > Search customer. Do not enter any search terms.
  2. Check the Libary-at-home box.
  3. Click Search. A list of all library-at-home customers assigned to the delivery person signed in will appear.
