Configure library-at-home services

Learn how to configure library-at-home services for Wise.

To configure library-at-home service, the system option LRBRLM must be enabled. This option can be enabled at the branch or system level in the Wise configuration manager. Once enabled, the delivery method Library-to-house will appear in the staff client. To enable Library-at-home, the following actions must take place:

  1. Enable Library-at-home for the library:
    1. In the Wise configuration manager, go to systemWise > systemWise > System options
    2. Locate Option LRBRLM in the options table. If the option is not On:
      1. Click detail. The System options detail window opens.
      2. Select Change to edit the option.
      3. Choose Yes for On.
      4. Click OK to save the settings.
      5. Click Close to close the window.
  2. Add a delivery method to the (TABRLM) Hold delivery processes table:
    1. In the Wise configuration manager, go to OCLC Wise > Holds and ILL > System tables > (TABRLM) Hold delivery process.
    2. Click New. The Hold delivery process window opens.
    3. Enter library-at-home delivery details:
      Field Enter this information
      Type Automatically filled by the system as RLM.
      Code Enter BAH for books-at-home
      Description Free text description, e.g. Library-at-home
      Delivery service

      B - Carrier

       Note: The other selections in the drop-down list do not apply to this function.

    4. Click OK to save.
  3. Add the system role Library-at-Home for the employees/volunteers who will deliver the books to at home customers:
    1. In Wise configuration manager, go to systemWise > Access codes and authorizations > Access authorizations.
    2. Search for and select the employee to whom you want to provide access.
    3. Select extra role to add a role to the employee.
    4. Select BAHBEH1 from the role* drop-down list.
    5. Click OK to save the role.
  4. Define Library-at-Home profiles.
