Event Management

Learn how to configure event information for ticketing.

Event types

An event type is a designation for a specific type of performance in Wise. Examples include films, lectures, classes, etc. At least one journal entry code must be assigned to each event type. 

 Note: If no journal entry code is linked to the event type, the event type will not be shown as an option in the client. 

Field Description
Cluster code The cluster code associated with the event type. See ticketWise Cluster administrator for more information.
Event type Name for the type of event. 
Customer label code Choose a customer label code, defined at systemWise > Marketing > Customer labels > System tables > Event types for customer labels.

 Note: If this table is empty, no labels will be generated for marketing purposes. 

Default journal entry code

Choose the default booking code associated with sales for the event from the drop-down menu. 

These codes are defined in the Wise configuration manager at OCLC Wise > Finance > Booking codes > Registration tables > Store sales.

Default withdrawn code

Choose the default booking code for refunds from the drop-down menu. 

These codes are defined in the Wise configuration manager at OCLC Wise > Finance > Booking codes > Registration tables > Cash drawer expenses.

Genres

The genre further defines the type of event. One or more genre can be linked to each event within the Wise client. Examples of genres are comedy, drama, musical, etc. 

Field Description
Cluster code The cluster code associated with the genre. See ticketWise Cluster administrator for more information.
Genre Name of the genre.
Order The order in which the genre displays in the client. If no numbers are present, the genres appear in the order of the genre name. 
Customer label code Choose a customer label code, defined at systemWise > Marketing > Customer labels > System tables > Event types for customer labels.

 Note: If this table is empty, no labels will be generated for marketing purposes. 

Text types

Text types defines the text that appears for events in the Client and user interface. 

Field Description
Cluster code The cluster code associated with the text type. See ticketWise Cluster administrator for more information.
Text type Description of the text type.
Code Code type when using XSL. 
Order The order in which the text type displays in the client. If no numbers are present, the text types appear in the order of the text type name.
Length The maximum number of characters for this text type. 
Display in search results Check to allow the text to display in the user portal.
Searchable Not in use. 

Planning phase

The planning phase is the period an event is visible and marketable. The completion of planning phases is done per event in the client. Only the phases are defined in the manager. 

Field Description
Cluster code The cluster code associated with the planning phase. See ticketWise Cluster administrator for more information.
Name Name of the planning phase.
Order The order in which the planning phase displays in the client. If no numbers are present, the planning phases appear in the order of the planning phase name.
Active Not in use.

Season

Seasons are periods with a start and end date. Defining seasons makes it possible to show activities per season within the Wise client. 

 Note: Dates of seasons can not overlap. 

Field Description
Cluster code The cluster code associated with the season. See ticketWise Cluster administrator for more information.
Date from The date when the season starts.
Date to The date when the season ends. 
Description long The description displayed in the Wise client buttons within Event management. 
Description, short The description used in the style sheet.

Map layout

Field Description
Type Defined by the system - LAYKRK
Cluster/System The cluster or system to which the map layout applies. 
Layout code The layout code is a name for the layout used in the XML. It can be any code as long as it consists of letters (not numbers) and is unique. 
Description Description of the map layout.

(TABTAG) Event genres for customer labels

Field Description
Type Automatically defined by the system - TAG
Code The event genre code. 
Description Description of the event genre.

(TABTAS) Event types for customer labels

Field Description
Type Automatically defined by the system - TAS
Code The event type code.
Description Description of the event type.
