Collections agent process

Learn how to define settings related to the collections agent process in the Wise configuration manager.

 

Create a Collections agent process 

  1. In Wise configuration manager, go to Products and services > Memberships > Membership process > Collections agent process.
  2. Click Open next to your library organization.
  3. Click New at the top of the screen.
  4. Provide information for the Collections agent process fields.
  5. Click Ok to save.

Collections agent process fields 

Field name Description
Organization The organization from which the collections agent items are generated.
Collections agent process A two-digit numerical code.
Description Describes the method.
Block Check this box to indicate that the customer will be blocked at the service desk and from self-service kiosks once their information has been turned over to the debt collection agency.
Notification Check this box if the system should display a notification when the customer registers at the service desk or self-service kiosk.
Collections agent after xxx days The number of days until a notice is sent. The sending date is included in the financial lines.
Book code As soon as outstanding items are selected and are eligible to be sent to the collections agency, a debit entry is made for the items immediately after selection. The collection agency code is used in financial reporting.
