Default system notifications and variables
Find a list of default system notifications.
System notifications are defined in the Wise configuration manager at OCLC Wise > Desk management > Public desk > Self-service > (WSM) System notifications.

Note: Changes to these settings can only be made by authorized users. Contact your system administrator for assistance.

System notification variables
Variables can be entered in self-service notifications to provide information specific to the customer using the self-service machine. The variables must be entered exactly as shown below.
[{0}]
In some reports, a number appears between braces and brackets - [{#}]. This means that a number (number of copies, amount, etc.) is entered by the system. Please note that when changing the notification text, this system formula remains intact.
#LOCATION#
Some screen texts and notifications contain the instruction to place materials in a specific location. When #LOCATION# appears, where the term LOCATION is replaced with the specific location image file name, the system inserts the corresponding image.
[LIBRARYNAME]
When [LIBRARYNAME] appears in a notification, the screen displays the name of the library as it is known within the system. For example, the message "Welcome" could be updated to say "Welcome to the [LIBRARYNAME]", which will display as "Welcome to the City Library".
Other placeholders
In some notifications, the following variables might be used:
- #TITLE# - title
- #APPENDICES# - number of attachments
- #ITEMS# - number of parts, including main title
