Title messages work list

Learn how to create a title messages work list to view messages that are not associated with titles in the Wise staff client.

The Title messages work list provides a report of the messages that are associated with titles. Messages can be sent to cataloging staff from the Title detail screen. This report can be run to clean up messages. We recommend that you first run and print the report without deleting the messages. Work through the produced list and once the messages have been manually reviewed and handled, run the report again and delete the messages.

 Note: This report will only show messages associated with titles if the help desk email is not populated in the Wise configuration manager at systemWise > systemWise > System settings. If the help desk email address is populated, all title messages are sent to that address rather than being tied to a title record.

To run the report and view outstanding messages:

  1. Go to Titles > Overviews > Title messages work list. The Working list title messages window opens.
  2. From the Delete messages drop-down list, select 0 - No.
  3. Click Create report. The work list opens in your browser window.

To run the report and delete outstanding messages:

  1. Go to Titles > Overviews > Title messages work list. The Working list title messages window opens.
  2. From the Delete messages drop-down list, select 1 - Yes.
  3. Click Create report. The outstanding messages are deleted from the system and the work list opens in your browser window.
