Items to evaluate

Learn how to generate a report of potential items to be discarded.

The Items to evaluate overview provides a report of potential items to be discarded.

To create this overview:

  1. Go to Items > Overviews > Items to evaluate. The Clearance List Items window opens.
  2. Provide overview information. Required fields are marked with an (*) asterisk.
    Field Description
    Branches* Choose the branch(es) to be included in the report. Use ctrl+click to select multiple branches. If left blank, all branches will display.
    Not checked out since* Enter the date that the items were last checked out.
    Date received (up to and including) Enter the period within which the item was linked or checked in to the library from transport.
    SCAT from list Select a SCAT from the list of SCATs that the report will include. If left blank, all SCATs will be included.
    or SCAT entry Enter a series of SCAT codes, using .. between the codes (e.g. 4380..5000).
    Shelf Choose the shelf for which the items will display. If left blank, the report will include all shelves.
    Not checked out more often than Enter a minimum number of times the item has been checked out before the Not checked out since date.
    Including inspection/reference

    Select:

    • Yes to include all items
    • No to display only the items without a lending block (these items have no loans by default)
    Sorting*

    Select the sorting order for the report display:

    • 1 - walking route
    • 2 - shelf code

    The default sorting order is walking route.

  3. Click Create report. The report is generated in a new browser window.

The overview displays the following information:

  • Author
  • Title
  • Barcode
  • Label
  • Receipt
  • Check-in
  • Counters (number of times the item has been borrowed in each of the past three periods)
