Send newsletters

Learn how to send newsletters from the Wise staff client.

Once a newsletter is created, it can be sent. Wise allows users to send a test version of the newsletter, send the newsletter immediately, or schedule the newsletter to be sent at a later time.

Send a test newsletter 

Once a newsletter is compiled, a sample can be sent and previewed.

To send a test:

  1. In the staff client, go to Branch management > Newsletter > Newsletters. The Newsletter window opens.
  2. Click on the line of the newsletter you want to send.
  3. Click Send. The Send window opens.
  4. Select Send a test now from the drop-down list.
  5. Click OK. A confirmation message appears, send email to <configured test email address>.
    • Click Yes to send the test
    • Click No to enter a different email address or cancel
      • A No email address message appears, enter the preferred email address in the text box and click OK

The test message is sent. When the send job is complete, a confirmation message appears that the message was sent to 1 customer.

Send newsletter 

To send a compiled newsletter immediately:

  1. In the staff client, go to Branch management > Newsletter > Newsletters. The Newsletter window opens.
  2. Click on the line of the newsletter you want to send.
  3. Click Send. The Send window opens.
  4. Select Send now from the drop-down list.
  5. Click OK. A confirmation message appears. 
  6. Click Yes to continue. The Selections window opens.
  7. Review the readied selections and click OK to continue.
  8. A confirmation message appears, First count the messages to check?
    • Click Yes to perform a count before sending the message, the system will count the number of messages to be sent and which text items go to how many customers. When the count is complete, the information will display. Click OK to continue.
    • Click No to proceed and send the message
  9. A final confirmation message appears. Click Yes to send. The messages are sent.

 Note: Test newsletters can be sent any number of times, but newsletters can only be sent to customers once. This prevents staff from accidentally sending the same message multiple times. If you want to send a newsletter again, make a copy of the newsletter and send it.

Schedule newsletter 

To schedule a newsletter to be sent at a later time:

  1. In the staff client, go to Branch management > Newsletter > Newsletters. The Newsletter window opens.
  2. Click on the line of the newsletter you want to send.
  3. Click Send. The Send window opens.
  4. Select Send now from the drop-down list.
  5. Click OK. A confirmation message appears. 
  6. Click Yes to continue. The Selections window opens.
  7. Review the readied selections and click OK to continue.
  8. A selection window opens. Enter the date and time that the newsletter should be sent. Click OK.
  9. A confirmation message appears, First count the messages to check?
    • Click Yes to perform a count before sending the message, the system will count the number of messages to be sent and which text items go to how many customers. When the count is complete, the information will display. Click OK to continue.
    • Click No to proceed and send the message
  10. A final confirmation message appears. Click Yes to send. The messages are sent.

Schedule newsletter 

To schedule a newsletter to be sent at a later time:

  1. In the staff client, go to Branch management > Newsletter > Newsletters. The Newsletter window opens.
  2. Click on the line of the newsletter you want to send.
  3. Click Send. The Send window opens.
  4. Select Send now from the drop-down list.
  5. Click OK. A confirmation messages appears. 
  6. Click Yes to continue. The Selections window opens.
  7. Review the readied selections and click OK to continue.
  8. A selection window opens. Enter the date and time that the newsletter should be sent. Click OK.
  9. A confirmation message appears, First count the messages to check?
    • Click Yes to perform a count before sending the message, the system will count the number of messages to be sent and which text items go to how many customers. When the count is complete, the information will display. Click OK to continue.
    • Click No to proceed and send the message
  10. A final confirmation message appears. Click Yes to send. The messages are sent.

Only count 

To check how many customers will receive text items from a newsletter without sending the message:

  1. In the staff client, go to Branch management > Newsletter > Newsletters. The Newsletter window opens.
  2. Click on the line of the newsletter you want to send.
  3. Click Send. The Send window opens.
  4. Select Only count from the drop-down list.
  5. Click OK. A confirmation messages appears. 
  6. Click Yes to continue. The Selections window opens.
  7. Review the readied selections and click OK to continue.
  8. A selection window opens. Enter the date and time that the newsletter should be sent. Click OK. The system counts and displays the total number of messages to be sent.
