Issue Details

Author facet in the OPAC includes Contributors

Following the 7.1.0 release, Contributors are included in the Author facet. This will be resolved by creating a new facet for Contributor and restoring Author to only include authors.

Workaround: Until the issue is resolved Contributors will be included in the Author facet, but you can use the Material type filter to further narrow the Author selection.

Picklist "Found" button generates a failure message for some users

Picklist "Found" button generates a failure message for some users in the Wise Console.

Title detail "available items" column is showing the total count of items at all branches

The "available items" column is showing the total count of items at all branches in the Wise Console. It should show the # of items in Available status at the "local branch (logged in branch)"

Some BIRT reports are not generating

Following the server migrations, some BIRT reports generated from the Wise Client and Manager return an error message.

Workslips stop printing after the first item is printed

When printing a workslip with multiple copies going to different libraries, the printer stops after the first item is printed.

Paging not available on the Console catalog group tabs

When looking at the Group tab of a title with many items, paging through the list of items is not possible. View 10 or 25 by choosing the number of items to see on the page. If there are more than 25 items, the remaining items are not accessible from the screen.

The issue will be resolved in release 7.0.7

TCP/IP connection time out error

Please be aware while testing the connection, you may receive a time-out error message. Our team is currently investigating this issue and will install a fix or share configuration updates as soon as this is resolved.

 Note: In Connexion client, users can enable the Display report for immediate export results option for confirmation that their files were transmitted successfully. You can find more information about this option here.

Workaround: Click Retry if the timeout error appears. The file will be fully transmitted to Wise.
Console Picklist

The following issues have been identified with the Console Picklist:
  • Some sort options aren't retained when you go to the next page
  • Patrons with multiple cards on their account will show up on the picklist multiple times - one for each card - for the same hold request
  • Holds with statuses other than Active appear on the list
  • The holds queue order is not honored
  • The PICKLST system option is not yet implemented. Right now, you do not need to enable the system option to view the picklist in the Console

Library-added cover art images do not display in the OPAC

When cover art links are added to the 856 field, cover art should appear in the OPAC. These images are not currently displaying.

Cover art for e-resources not displaying in OPAC search results

Following the server migrations, cover art for Hoopla, Libby and cloudLibrary titles does not display in the OPAC search results. The cover art does show on the title details screen.

Load MARC data report not generating full details

After loading MARC data into Wise, a Load MARC titles report is generated to provide details of the import (e.g. whether the title was overlaid), but these reports are not including title data. They include the total number of records processed, but not title-level details.

A fix will be installed during an upcoming weekly update.

Search customer button deactivated

When using the New ILL copy screen, the Search customer button is deactivated even when the Status drop-down menu is set to R.

Link screen

The following issues have been identified with the Material type dialog on the Link screen in the Staff client:

The dialog does not respond when you enter a letter to jump down the list of material types (e.g., pressing E to jump to all material types beginning with E). The dialog does not respond when you change the sort order.

Incorrect hold counts displaying on title records in the Wise Console

The number of holds shown on a title record should reflect the number of current holds on the title but this count is currently showing incorrect values.

OPAC search in TEST results in error message

Libraries that have been migrated and updated RHEL11 may experience issues with searching the catalog of their TEST instance.  Searches return an error message: There was an unexpected error with your search. Please re-enter it below. ["search-failed"]

Shelf description changes to NA after soft refresh in the Console Picklist

After initially launching the Console Picklist, the Shelf Description column appears as expected; however, after the first soft refresh of the Picklist, the shelf description for some items changes to NA.

Console - Pick-up location value not displaying

When you open the Item request manager, the Pick-up location column is populated for a request; however, when you expand a request: The Pick-up location value is blank. The locations available in the drop-down menu do not include all of an institution's configured locations when the Pick-up location drop-down menu is expanded.

OPAC - Titles display as unavailable for Holds in the search results screen

Though the screen shows the wrong text/button, the functionality actually does work.  We are investigating if there is a Smartling or translation issue inadvertently causing this display issue.

Item Request Manager - Saving change to item requests

Users are currently unable to save changes to item requests. When a change is attempted, the following error message appears: The Item Request could not be saved. Please try saving again later.

We improved the UI to make the Pick-up location a recognizable required fields. We will also update old requests to include a pick-up branch at your library's request.

Console - Advanced Customer Search sometimes returns many blank rows

When using an asterisk (*) in the Surname/Last/Family name to search for customers in the Wise console, the last several pages of results do not contain data.

Cannot re-register patrons in the Client and Console

Users cannot currently re-register patrons in the Wise Client or console. Clicking Add new customer (Client) or Re-activate (console) results in no action being taken.

Catalog keyword search stops working

After executing several words/keyword searches in the Wise Client, an error is displayed and you can no longer search this index.

Workaround: Clear the cache and restart the client.
