Temporary pick-up branch
Learn how to assign a temporary pick-up branch for when a location will be closed for an extended period.
When a branch is closed for a period of time, an alternative branch for hold pick up can be defined within the Wise configuration manager at OCLC Wise > Holds and ILL > Temporary pick-up branch.
Note: This does not affect whether a pick-up location can be selected within the web catalog. To prevent a location from appearing as a pick-up location, it will need to be removed from the configured Pick-Up Network within the Holds Network table of the (G_NET) Networks table. Once the location has been removed from the network, this change will be reflected in the Policy Material (RMT) table.
Temporary pick-up branch fields

| Closed/To be closed | Select the branch that will be temporarily closed from the drop-down menu. |
| Alternative pick-up branch | Select the alternative pick-up branch from the drop-down menu. |
| Starting date of closure | The date when the temporary closure will begin. |
| Ending date of closure | The date when the temporary closure will end. |
| Text | Text describing the closure. |
