Setting up TCP/IP exporting for Connexion
Applies to
- Wise
- Connexion
Use Connexion client to export records into Wise
1. Add the Manage Connexion role function to an existing or new user role
To edit an existing User Role:
- In the Wise Manager, go to systemWise > Access codes and authorizations > Access authorizations
- Select the Roles tab
- Select the User Role you want to edit and click on "Display functions" (this is how you can check to see if they already have it as well)
- Scroll to the unselected roles, and locate and select the checkbox next to the Manage Connexion function
- Leave the branch, institution, and system as NULL
- Once done, accounts with the existing user role will be able to import records from Connexion and Record Manager into Wise.
To create a user role just for exporting from Connexion:
- From the Wise Manager, In systemWise > Access codes and authorizations > Access authorizations, go into the System tab
- Create a new User Role with the System Role "Manage Connexion"
- Change the system level of the Role function to "Delete", which should change the Branch and Institution levels to Delete as well
- Save the changes
- Navigate to a different table in the Manager, or close and reopen the page. This refreshes the list of roles available for the next steps
- Back in Access authorizations, open the Users tab. Here, there are two options:
- Find a current staff account and click "Extra role." Add the new user role to the account and save, OR
- Create a new, generic user with the new user role
- Once this is created, the user with the newly-created user role should be able to export records to Wise from Record Manager.
