Generate purchase order document

Learn how to generate purchase order documents in the Wise client.

Purchase orders can be created in Microsoft Word using a template in Wise. A generic template is available for use and modification. This file can be found in the Wise client in Branch management > File management, in the PO_templates folder. For more information about managing the PO template, see Folders

To generate an order document from the Order requests screen:

  1. In the Wise client, go to Titles > Order requests. The Order requests screen opens.
  2. Go to Options > Generate purchase order document. A selection screen appears.
  3. Enter the PO number for which you want to create a document and select the template you wish to use from the Template drop-down list.
  4. Click OK. The file is created, and you can save and view the purchase order. 

     Note: Once the purchase order document is generated, it can be further edited in Microsoft Word if needed.

Generate an order document from the Order administration screen 

To generate an order document from the Order administration screen:

  1. In the Wise client, go to Titles > Order administration. The Order administration screen opens.
  2. Go to Options > Generate purchase order document. A selection screen appears.
  3. Enter the PO number for which you want to create a document and select the template you wish to use from the Template drop-down list.
  4. Click OK. The file is created, and you can save and view the purchase order. 

     Note: Once the purchase order document is generated, it can be further edited in Microsoft Word if needed.
