Add fines to a customer account

Learn how to manually add fines to a customer account.

Payments required by the customer can be added to the system manually. To create a new fine:

  1. Search for the customer whose account you would like to add a fine. Open their account.
  2. Navigate to Customer > Financial > Fines
  3. Click New in the blue bar at the bottom of the screen. The Add registration window appears.
  4. Provide the following information:
    Field Description
    Book code Select an item from the pre-defined entry codes.
    Amount Manually enter the amount of payment.
    Date Wise automatically supplies the current date.
    Barcode (not required) An item number can be entered.
  5. Click OK to add this amount as an outstanding fee for the customer.

To prevent confusion, the system adds a note to the Memo field in the fines details screen stating that the item was created manually.
