Add fines to a customer account
Learn how to manually add fines to a customer account.
Payments required by the customer can be added to the system manually. To create a new fine:
- Search for the customer whose account you would like to add a fine. Open their account.
- Navigate to Customer > Financial > Fines.
- Click New in the blue bar at the bottom of the screen. The Add registration window appears.
- Provide the following information:
Field Description Book code Select an item from the pre-defined entry codes. Amount Manually enter the amount of payment. Date Wise automatically supplies the current date. Barcode (not required) An item number can be entered. - Click OK to add this amount as an outstanding fee for the customer.
To prevent confusion, the system adds a note to the Memo field in the fines details screen stating that the item was created manually.
