Edit working date

Learn how to edit the Wise staff client working date.

The Edit working date option allows you to change the system date. This function might be used when the system is down for maintenance and materials cannot be checked in until a later date, or when checking in items via Outdoor book return mode.

To change the working date:

  1. Go to Branch management > Workplace management > Edit working date. A Select a working date window opens.
  2. Enter the desired working date manually, or click the Calendar widget and select a date from the calendar.
  3. Click OK. A confirmation message appears, Editing the working date has been logged on the server. When the working date is changed, a flashing message displays at the top of the staff client, #ALTERNATIVE DATE#. If your login is not authorized to change the working date, you will receive a message indicating that you are not authorized to change the working date and the working date will not be changed.
  4. Once the tasks that required a date change are complete, set the system date back to the current date. Go to Branch management > Workplace management > Restore working date.

 Note: The working date is restored when the system is restarted or when you log out.
