My account details

Learn about the information available via My account details and the ways that customers can manager this information.

My account details provides an overview of a customer's data as it is currently entered in Wise and allows customers to update their information.

 Note: The ability to make changes to this information depends on the My Menu configuration set in the Manager.

My Details

Customers can find information about their account in the following areas:

Login details

The following customer information is available for Login details:

Detail Description Actions
Username The username associated with the account.

Click Edit to set a new username.

 Note: The username must be 4 to 80 characters long and may only contain lowercase letters, numbers and the characters . - and ..

The username must also contain at least two letters. 

Password The password currently set for the account. The password is redacted on the My account details screen. 

Click Edit to set a new password.

Users will need to reauthenticate before they are able to access the Update password form.

 Note: The password must be 8 to 24 characters long and must contain the following: at least one special character (! • $ % *( ) ??), at least uppercase letter, at least one lowercase letter and at least one number. It should not contain the characters &, , a, | or a blank space.

PIN The PIN associated with the account. The PIN is redacted on the My account details screen.  Click Edit to enter a new PIN. Four digits are required.

Name and address details

Detail Description Actions
Legal name The customer's legal name.

Cannot be updated by customers in My account details.

Preferred name If a preferred name has been entered for the account the name will appear here.  Click Edit to update the preferred first and last names associated with the account. 
Address

The customer's address. 

 

Click Edit to update the address associated with the account. 
Date of birth The customer's date of birth. Cannot be updated by customers in My account details.
Email

If an email has been entered for the account it will be shown here. 

 Note: From version 8.0.2 on BCC email addresses entered for the account are also visible here. These addresses are masked with asterisk (*) and cannot be removed. For removal, customers must contact the library.

Click Edit to update the email address associated with the account. 

 Note: Starting with version 8.0.2 customers that have changed the email address associated with the account will receive a PVC message to confirm the change. No message will be sent if the entered email address has already been used and validated by the customer.

A follow-up reminder can also be sent x number of days after the last validation message via PVC or PVX. See 

Phone If a phone number has been entered for the account it will be shown here.  Click Edit to update the phone number associated with the account. 
Mobile phone If a mobile phone number has been entered for the account it will be shown here.  Click Edit to update the mobile phone number associated with the account. 
Bank account Not currently in use in the US. Not currently in use in the US.

Membership and preferences

Detail Description Actions
Card number The card number associated with the account. 

Cannot be updated by customers in My account details.

Home branch The current home branch selected for the account.  Click Edit to set a new Home branch.
Preferred pickup location The current preferred pickup location selected for the account.  Click Edit to select a new preferred pickup location.
Membership The membership that is currently active for the account and the date that the membership ends.

Cannot be changed from the My details page. To change a membership, click Change membership in the menu to the left of the screen.

Other settings

Detail Description Actions
Historical overview Allows customers to control their loan history settings. 

Click Edit to update settings. The following options are available:

  • Show loan history
  • Hide loan history
  • Do not keep a history
Notify at checkout for previously borrowed titles Allows customers to enable notifications about titles that have been previously borrowed.  This setting defaults to OFF. Click the toggle to enable.
