OPAC menu configuration

Find information on how to configure menu options in the new OPAC.

The main menu in the new OPAC can be configured per instance. In order to configure this menu, the system option OPACCFG  must be enabled. The default menu or a full custom menu (e.g. Joomla) can be used.

Default Menu

To configure or customize your default menu:

  1. Go to systemWise > Wisecat+ configuration > Wisecat+ menu
  2. Click Detail at the instance whose menu you want to change or click New to create a new line. The Wisecat+ menu configuration window opens.
  3. Under Logo, enter which logo to use. This can be based on the file location on the server or via URL.
  4. Under Favicon, enter the favicon that will be used. See Favicon below for more information.
  5. Under Menu configuration, select which menu items should be shown and which should not.

If a different favicon than the default is desired, enter enter a data URI that points to the appropriate image. A data URI will look like the following abbreviated example:

data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAA/8AAAP/CAYAA....

Custom XML

A Custom XML field is also available n the new OPAC menu configuration the. In this field, you can paste a custom XML file. If the Header URI field is filled out for the instance, the XML of this link is automatically retrieved and displayed in the field in the OPAC configuration.
