Enable OverDrive Advantage

Overview

Libraries with an OverDrive Advantage subscription have the option to view these titles in the Wise OPAC, along with the titles from their main collection.

A system option is available that will display text prompting  library customers to sign in, and check for additional copies if an OverDrive title has no copies available. This system option is optional and provides customers with a hint that additional titles may be available once logged in.

Enable OverDrive Advantage additional text

 Note: Due to being required at the system and institution level, Wise can accommodate your consortia if one institution has OverDrive Advantage and another does not. Additional text will only display for your institutions who have added their OverDrive Advantage token to the institution level in the Wise configuration manager.

1. In Wise configuration manager, go to systemWise > systemWise > System options.
2. Navigate to ODADMSG and click detail. A System options window opens.
3. Select Change and then click Yes to enable the system option.
4. Click OK to save changes at the system level.
5. Click detail next to ODADMSG.
6. Select Copy and then select the branch to which you want to display the Overdrive Advantage additional text from the Branch drop-down list.
7. Click OK to save changes at the institution level.

Add your OverDrive Advantage token

1. Contact OCLC Support to obtain your OverDrive Advantage token.
2. In Wise configuration manager, go to Management organizations > External systems > Overdrive.
3. Enter your OverDrive Advantage token in the Advantage Accounts text field.
    Note: If you subscribe to more than one Advantage account, your tokens can be separated with a comma, a pipe (|) or a space.
4. Click OK to save changes.
