Newsletter options

Library staff can create, prepare and send newsletters to library customers via the staff client. Newsletters can be sent at the system or branch level and content can be tailored to a branch-specific audience.

It is possible to create and distribute:

  • Ready-made newsletters: Create a newsletter and save it as a .pdf or .html. Then, link the file and send it to a selection of customers.
  • Composite newsletters: Create newsletter texts in the client, attach profiles, if necessary, and use those texts to compose a newsletter. Depending on their selections, customers receive tailored newsletters.

Newsletter elements

  • Newsletter texts for the composite newsletter are easy to put together
  • Layout elements can be added (bold, italic, underline, page breaks), as well as images and hyperlinks. The system uses a newsletter template to manage the layout and can display on desktop and mobile devices
  • Various text elements can also be included in newsletters, including agendas, banners, teasers and standard messages
  • Hyperlinks are created via link formats and click rates can be tracked and reported on
  • Newsletters can be sent to any customer in the Wise system with a valid email address
  • Customers can be selected via profiles, created in Statistics and selections
  • When creating profiles, customer labels can be used, in addition to standard selection criteria: system labels, import labels, free (manually created) labels
