Customer request form
When configured, library customers can submit requests for items to be purchased and added to your library's collections via My Account in the web portal. Customer requests are added to a queue of requests and managed by library staff in the Item request manager staff application.

Note: The number of requests that a customer is able to submit can be limited. ContactTo access the My requests page, log into the Wise catalog and go to My Account > My requests.
New requests
To submit a new request, customers click New request. The My Item Request screen opens. Provide request information. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
Field | Description |
---|---|
Title* | Title of the requested material. |
Author | Author of the requested material. |
Format* | Select the requested material format from the drop-down list. The available formats are based on your library's media types. |
ISBN or UPC | The ISBN or UPC code for the requested material. Limit 250 characters. |
Link to item | The customer can include links to sources of information about the requested material or where it can be purchased. |
Pick-up location* | Select the pick-up location from the drop-down list. The pick-up location defaults to the branch associated with the patron's account. |
Comments | The customer can include a note to library staff regarding the requested material. Limit 500 characters. |
Click Save to submit the request. A confirmation message appears to indicate that the request was submitted. The request is added to the queue to be managed in the Item request manager staff application
Note: A request cannot be edited by the customer once it has been submitted.
My Requests
If the customer has submitted any item requests, they display on the My Requests page ordered by request date. The following request information appears:
- Title
- Author
- Format
- Requested (the date the item request was submitted)
- Action
- Detail (click to view additional request details)
- Delete (this option is dependent of the status of the request as defined by the library)
