Postmark configuration
OCLC Support before starting the configuration process for Postmark.
Caution: Please contactEmail domains can be configured for sending via Postmark under Manager > systemWise > Messages > Postmark configuration in the Manager. Wise automatically generates the necessary DNS records that must be entered in the DNS server.
For more information about email configuration and handling, see Email settings and Address details tab.
Add a domain
To add a new domain:
- Click New at the top of the Postmark configuration screen.
- Enter the desired email domain (ex. yourlibrary.org).
- Click OK. The domain will be given the status N (New).
A DMARC and a return path record will be automatically generated in Postmark. You can find this information via the Report button at the top of the configuration screen.
Report
The Postmark Configuration Detail report consists of four options: new, created, active, or deactivated. When you add a domain, it is given the status "new".
Once the underlying system has generated the data at Postmark, this data is returned and the domain is set to "created". You can enter this data in the DNS server. Postmark now checks whether this is correct, and from there the domain automatically becomes active. While the domain is active, emails are sent via Postmark.
