Matching and merging title records in Wise

Learn how Wise processes incoming title records.

Matching title records

Matching title records in Wise is strict and the presence of multiple matching records or an OCN in an otherwise complete match will result in a new title. Please see Merging titles in the catalog for more information on merging duplicate records.

Determining title matches

When a new title record is added to Wise, the system uses the following criteria to determine if it matches with an existing title or a new title will be created.
